Affirmative and Negative agreement

When people speak together, they often agree or disagree about things. We can use simple forms to express our agreement or disagreement.

Affirmative agreement

Form :

So + verb + subject = So

Subject + Verb + too  = Too

Examples :

·         My friend says: "I like cosplay."
My response is: "So do I."

·         My friend says: "I'm tired."
My response is: "I am Too. "

Negative agreement

Form :

Neither + Verb + Subject =  Neither

Subject +  (-) Verb + Either =  Either

Examples :

·         My father says: "I can't swim very well."
My response is: "Neither can I."

·         My father says: "I am not very patient with other people."
My response is: "I am not Either."
